[advertise]广告[/advertise] 11/6/2009, In last year's shuffle of Chinese communication service providers, Tietong, or China Railcom, should merge into China mobile. Railcom's access network will be the base of fixed line broadband network business of China mobile in the future. Having Railcom, China Mobile become an all-service service provider like China Telecom and Unicom. But there is some rumor that the merge may be delayed unlimited time. According to China Mobile's plan, Railcom will be merged into China Mobile totally in year 2010. Now it is only 2 months left for year 2009, Railcom seems still cannot see the real merge action from China Mobile. Because of this, many Railcom employees feel their future uncertain. Early this year, China Mobile introduced local phone service based on TD-SCDMA technology. Because of this service is just like a fixed line phone service, some analyst thought that meant China Mobile don't really like Railcom's fixed line business. Especially that will bring hugh loss to China Mobile's balance sheet. Railcom's fixed line network coverge is much less than their competitors. Since the founding of China Railcom, they have kept loss for many years. China Mobile has reason to dislike this business. There is one another big reason. The merge also means China Mobile must absorbe large part of Railcom's 70k employees. This is a big burdn for China Mobile. For China Railcom, they are still working on seperating their public and railway communication service. Once this seperation finished, the public service can be merged into China Mobile. But withought China Mobile's cooperation, this merge is doomed not a smooth merge.
