[advertise]广告[/advertise]11/10/2009, Santec, a leading manufacturer of optical components for the fiber optics and telecommunications industries, announces the availability of a new Variable Optical Attenuator with extremely low wavelength dependence.
The product is designed specifically for applications where multiple wavelengths are attenuated simultaneously in a DWDM type transmission system. A typical example is in an EDFA type amplifier. Santec's device is a modified version of its popular MOVA-1, MEMS based variable optical attenuator. The device is compact, low cost, and electronically adjustable using a simple analogue voltage. It has an attenuation range up to 40dB,a response time of <10ms, low insertion loss and low polarization dependence (PDL). It is fully qualified to TelcordiaGR-1221.
