It is hard to make this ranking list because many fiber optics companies in China are not public companies and their accurte revenue is not known by outside. About one month ago, an organization with some government background tried to give such kind of ranking list. Although it is not fully reflect today's fiber optics industry in mainland China, but it still is a reference. Here are the lists: The most competitive companies are: Fiberhome, Huawei, ZTE, Hengtong, Zhongtian, Futian, Yongding, Fuchunjiang, Nanjing Putian, Changjiang Communication. In this list, fiberhome is a state-hold equipment and fiber, cable manufacture. Its total revenue is far less than Huawei and ZTE, but unlike Huawei and ZTE, Fiberhome has nearly no other business except fiber optics. The last two companies are also state-hold companies, Nanjing Putian is the biggese ODF/DDF manufactures in China, and Changjiang is in fact an investment company. Other companies in this list are all fiber/cable manufactures. Top ten transmission and access equipment companies: Huawei, ZTE, Fiberhome, Putian, Raiscom, Wuhan NEC, Xunfeng, Huahuan, Greenwell, Gaoke. I don't believe that Putian has any equipments. As I know their R&D engineers and resources were nearly all recruited by Huawei and ZTE many years ago. Raiscom started from media converter products, later they began to product ethernet products. In fact I always say them as China's RAD. The last four companies in this list have nearly the same long history with Huawei, ZTE's optical transmission departments. Under hugh competiting pressor, they focoused on PDH more these years. Only after FTTH market emerged in China, they began to make more PON products. Top 10 component companies Accelink, WTD, Photop, Wuxi Zte, Hg Genuine, Sunstar, O-net, Hioptel, Brodex, China Science. Top 10 fiber cable manufactures Changfei, Fiberhome, Hentgong, Futong, Zhongtian, Yongding, Tefa, Tongguang, Tongding, Fasten. Top 10 fiber optics brand in China Huawei, Fibehome, Shanghai Bell Alcatel, Changfei, Erission, Corning, JDSU, ADC Centrymen, PMC-Sierra.
