The name of the application is pornography wap website. Under the internet supervision of the Chinese government, you can not access to a pornography website from a computer, but you can do that easily from a cellphone. Now these phenomena cannot continue at least temporally because China Mobile has declared war on it. A spokesman of China Mobile announced that they have blocked 403 pornography WAP websites; terminated cooperation with 2 distributors; stopped access to one mobile server 3 days ago. Dr. Li,qiang of China Science Institute did some research on pornography in wireless internet from March to May this year. Using 3 cellphones, he has browsed those WAP websites for nearly 100 hours. During this period, his bill on wireless data service is about 505RMB. Among it, nearly 80% was charged by China Mobile, only 64.5 RMB was earned by those WAP website runners. Also among 79 pornography wireless website servers he studied, 37 servers belong to China Unicom, 20 servers belong to China Telecom, and 7 servers belong to China Mobile. From Dr Li's study, you can easily see what an important role those service providers play in this chain of wireless pornography. In fact it is MIIT(Ministry of Information and Industry Technology) who asked China Mobile to stop wireless pornography. According to a MIIT policy, those who provide access, who operates, who charges to wireless pornography should be responsible too. But do you believe that China Mobile will refuse revenue and profit from this big business? Many Chinese doubt it.
