But in all new transceiver companies, they are more successful, they are more ambitious. Today, both companies announced their achievement by publishing news release on CFOL(www.c-fol.net). Gigalight announced to find a Korea distributor, ATOP announced to decrease their 10G module price. On December 30 2009, Gigalight signed agreement with Editron Korea to become their distributor in Korea market. Before this agreement, they have already cooperated for 2 years. Founded in 1998, Editron is a famous electronic product distributor in Korea. Mr. Li,zhendong, CEO of Gigalight, said that Korea is very special for their high request on product quality and low cost. Many suppliers find unprofitable in Korea market. But Gigalight take all the requests in Korea market to be an opportunity to improve themselves and already made big progress. Mr. Steve Kim, spokeman for Editron said that Gigalight’s transceiver has very good performance price ratio. Based on their technology and management, Gigalight will show their real value to all fiber optics industry in 2010. In another news, ATOP announced to reduce their X2 and Xenpak 10G transceiver price by 20% in the first quarter of 2010. The company predicted that there will be big price reduction on 10G module from Q2 this year. Base on their technology and manufacturing ability, cost advantage, they will lead this price reducing trend.
