5/18/2010, By Zhang Jiawei (chinadaily.com.cn) Huang Guangyu, former chairman of Gome Electrical Appliances Holdings, was sentenced to 14 years in prison on charges of illegal business practices, insider trading, divulging inside information and bribery, chinanews.com.cn reported Tuesday.

The sentence was announced on Tuesday morning at the Beijing No 2 Intermediate People's Court.Huang was one the No. 1 richest person in mainland China according to Forbe's rich person list.
