August 17,2010, ATOP, a professional transceiver supplier, announced that they have signed a memorandum with Mianyang City government to build ATOP optical communication industry information harbor in Mianyang's Jinjialing headquarter economic zone. ATOP promises to move their 10Gbps and 40G/100Gbps module producing line to Mianyang and help Mianyang attract more fiber optics companies.

Through this memorandum, ATOP also becomes the preferred supplier for Mianyang's triple play project. ATOP will cooperated with Mianyang's enterprises like Changhong, Jiuzhou to develop new triple play terminals.

The new ATOP optical communication industry information harbour will cover about 50 mu (a Chinese unit of area. 1 acre is approximately equal to 6.07 Mu, and 1 Mu is approximately equal to 667 m2.). Mianyang is a city in Sichuan province, which is famous for her electronic industry.
