Ottawa, Canada – September 30, 2010 Enablence Technologies Inc. (“Enablence” or the “Company”) (TSX-V: ENA), a leading supplier of fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) equipment for triple-play residential and business services and optical components and subsystems for access, metro and long-haul markets, received a US$12.4 million order for its advanced next-generation network solution from a Tier 1 Central Asian telecom services provider.
This order is from an existing Enablence customer that is rapidly expanding its network deployment for next generation services to provide triple-play broadband services that requires the replacement of existing aging systems with advanced systems from Enablence in new serving areas.
Enablence is providing its advanced Multi Services Access Gateway (MSAG) platform, the BroadAccess-1000E. The platform offers an ideal solution for this emerging market’s growing demand for enhanced services, through the implementation of high-speed Ethernet design, advanced VoIP, ADSL2+ and IP capabilities, and the support of a wide range of voice and broadband services. By incorporating the multi-functionalities of an MSAG and IP-DSLAM, BroadAccess-1000E enables the efficient delivery of a complete set of triple-play applications for residential and business customers.
Enablence will deliver US$5 million worth of BroadAccess equipment in the next 2-3 weeks with another $7.4 million to follow within Q2 ending December 31, 2010, totaling $12.4 million.
